Ghana postpones FA Cup to honour Mills
Ghana has postponed its FA Cup final by one week after President John Atta Mills died suddenly, national football association GFA said Tuesday.
The final between AshantiGold and New Edubiase, originally scheduled for Sunday, has been pushed back to August 5 because of the president’s death, the association said.
Mills, 68, died suddenly on Tuesday hours after being taken ill, and five months before a vote in which he was to seek re-election.
