Basketball: Akinsola Rates Super 8 Playoffs High

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Gideon Akinsola, has hailed the standard of play in the ongoing Super 8 playoffs of the DSTV/NBBF Men’s League at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The Police officer also commended the sponsor, Multichoice Nigeria and the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF, for a well organised 2011/2012 edition of league.

The Super Eagles’ chief security officer, who was at the venue of the game yesterday said this year’s playoffs is an improvement on previous editions.

“I would like to give kudos to sponsors of this competition and the organisers for improving on the standard of the Super 8 playoffs.

“I was here last year during the playoffs and with what I witnessed today (yesterday), I must confess that I am really impressed with the standard of play and the organisation of the tournament,” he said after watching Royal Hoopers beat Police Baton by 64-46 points.
