Victor Edogun, veteran actor and one of the thespians who starred in Hills and Valleys, has denied rumours that the award-winning soap opera has been yanked off the airwaves.
In a chat, Edogun described the rumour as the handiwork of some mischievous persons, who apparently are envious of the feat recorded by thae soap so far.
He, therefore, called for continued sponsorship of the beloved drama serial, and praised the efforts of a telecommunications company for its consistent support in spite of a few challenges and the “double-handed efforts of certain self-seeking miscreants.”
Fresh from a movie shoot, which also featured Eucharia Anunobi, Yul Edochie, Biola Ige and Chita Agu, among others, Edogun has also been called to participate in the concluding episodes of the eight-year running award winning Christian drama serial, Heaven’s Gate, which climaxed with a double wedding.
In Heaven’s Gate, the wedding couples and their parents who were elegantly attired and conveyed in SUVs and a glittering limousine, were interpreted by the rich cast of Monalisa Chinda, Fred Amata, Femi Brainard, Ikwi Onwuemena, Alex Usifo-Umeagbo, Victor Edogun, Franca Brown and Livinus Innochiri.
The season of pulsating work for the Edo State- born thespian was capped by a sit-com recording of fresh episodes slated for a prime network station in which Edogun also played a lead role supported by two American -grown male actors.
