Asuquo Dedicates Award To Teammates

Man of the Match of the Nigeria Premier League, NPL, Week 35 tie between Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, of Ibadan and Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, Philip Asuquo, has dedicated his award to the entire members of the Oluyole Warriors.

In a chat with P.M.NewsSports shortly after the tension-soaked match, Asuquo dedicated the award to his teammates, adding that their combined effort contributed to his spectacular performance in the game.

“I dedicate this award to the entire members of 3SC team bcause it was their contribution to the match that brought out the best in me. I feel the glory should go to the entire team and not only I alone, though I won the award,” said Asuquo.

He said: “It was not only my effort that gave us victory in this match, but we won the match because the entire team made up their minds to give their best in the match against Rangers. That’s why I’m dedicating the award to them for helping to bring out my best in the match.”

However, the player revealed that the Oluyole Warriors will do the utmost to secure another maximum points in their next match.

“We will do our best to win the next match against Wolves just as we have done against Rangers in Ibadan. I know that it will not be an easy match but we will try our best to win .”
