Etihad Airline Slashes Fare For Nigerian Passengers

Etihad Airways says it has slashed fares for Nigerian passengers travelling from Nigeria to other parts of Africa, Middle East, Europe, Asia, Australia and North America this holiday season.

The United Arab Emirates- based airline recently added Lagos as its 83rd global network destinations. The airlines new service links Abu Dhabi and Lagos six times a week and is operated by a two-class A330-200 aircraft with 22 Pearl Business class and 240 Coral Economy class seats.

With the new promotion fare offer, passengers in Nigeria will now be able to fly to the United Arab Emirates for as little as $722, (about N116,025.40) inclusive of taxes and surcharges, while flights to China and Malaysia are available from  $1,250 and coral economy class return flights to Thailand are available from $ 1,195.

Speaking on the promo, Etihad Airways General Manager, Nigeria and West Africa, Maurice Phohleli, disclosed that the offer is open to both Pearl business class and coral economy class passengers who book between 18 July and 15 August  and travel until 31 August.

Phohleli said Etihad Airways prides itself on building strong relationships with its guests. “With summer and Ramadan here, we are pleased to unveil our latest fare offers for Pearl Business class and Coral Economy class travellers in Nigeria. The special offers form part of the ‘welcome on board’ service in our first month of operations in Nigeria and we hope travellers will take advantage of them,” he said

He also noted that the airline has also extended its summer Kids Fly Free offer to 10 September, 2012. The offer according to him,  allows children between the ages of 5 to 12 years, travelling with a paying adult, to fly free to the UAE. The offer also allows one child between the ages of 12 and16 to  fly at 50 per cent of the adult fare.
