Police Recover 7 Cars From Robbers
The police at Area ‘G’ Command, Ogba, Lagos, have arrested two suspected robbers and recovered seven vehicles from them.
According to the police, a man came to the station to report that his stolen car was seen around Ogba following which an anti-robbery team was dispatched to the area where the car was recovered with its occupant identified as Abdulsalam, during interrogation, Abdulsalam allegedly confessed that he bought the car from one Idowu. When Idowu was arrested he could not give a satisfactory account of the car which led the police to search his house where some implicating documents were recovered.
According to the Lagos State police image maker, Ngozi Braide(DSP), through the documents found in the suspect’s house the police were able to make a major breakthrough as additional six cars were recovered.
The police image maker also told Crime Watch that all the recovered vehicles are registered in the name of one Jacob believed to be the leader of the robbery gang that has been terrorising Lagos State in recent time.
Police source at Area ‘G’ also confirmed that the gang leader had been arrested at Ogun State for another robbery operation.
