Basketball: Warriors Postpone Kenya Trip

With less than a week after they finished a disappointing third place in the just concluded 2012 Nigeria basketball league, Dodan Warriors of Lagos have postponed their  trip to Kenya for an invitational tournament indefinitely.

Proprietor of Warriors, Col. Sam Ahmedu, Retd, said that the organisers of the tourney informed them on the change in date of the tourney few days ago.

He said: “We are no longer going for the invitational tournament in Kenya next week because we have been informed of its indefinate postponement.

“For this reason, we have given our players a couple of weeks break for them to get some rest after a hectic season we had.”

Coach of Warriors, Adeka Daudu, informed that they intend to use the one week long tourney to put themselves in good shape for the challenges that await them next season, saying that they would sought for other tourneys in due course.
