Agege To Enact Law On Indiscriminate Parking
The management of Agege Local Government Area, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, has said it would soon enact a law prohibiting the indiscriminate parking of vehicles on the road.
This was disclosed during the council’s stakeholders meeting tagged “Agege Local Government In Progress” held at the council secretariat recently.
The purpose of the meeting was to give the council boss, Alhaji Jubreel Ayodeji Abdulkareem, the opportunity to give an insight into all the jobs his administration has done so far and where he is having some challenges.
At the meeting, Abdulkareem gave the residents the opportunity to give a free and objective rating of his performance and to also tell the areas they would want him to channel his attention and intensify actions.
The residents praised the chairman efforts, particularly at combating flood and the numerous drains that have been constructed in the council area.
A resident, Mrs. Fawole, commended the council chairman for the drainage system which has reduced flooding in the area. She, however, noted that the local government would need to step up effort and collaborate with the police to ensure safety and security of person and property.
