FG declares Monday and Tuesday public holiday

Monday 20th and Tuesday the 21st August have been declared as public holidays to commemorate the 2012 Eid-ul-fitr Sallah celebrations by the Federal Government.

This was contained in a press statement issued on Monday by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Ms Nwaobia Daniel.

The Minister of Interior, Mr Abba Moro, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government asked Nigerians to emulate the exemplary attributes of Islam which comprises love, tolerance and peaceful co-existence amongst Nigerians.

Moro also tasked Nigerians to use the occasion for sober reflection and pray for the peace, unity and progress of the nation.
