Inspector, 2 Robbers Killed In Bank Raid

A police Inspector and two suspected armed robbers were killed today when policemen from the Apapa Division of the Lagos State Police Command, southwest Nigeria, foiled a robbery attack on an old generation bank in Apapa.

PMNEWS gathered that the three died during an exchange of fire between the suspected robbers who attempted to snatch a huge sum of money withdrawn by a customer of the bank and the police. P.M.NEWS sources said that the police team killed two of the robbers and arrested two others.

The attack took place on Warehouse Road, Apapa.  Details about the incident were sketchy as at the time of this report.
