Train Crashes Into Car

A train heading to Agege crushed a car this morning at Ikeja.

An eyewitness said the driver of the car, which was coming from Ikeja and was about to join Agege Motor Road, did not know that a train was coming from Oshodi. And as he approached the rail line, the train smashed into it and hurled it into the nearby bush.

It was not clear if any of the occupants of the car died, though those badly injured, including a pregnant woman, were rushed to the hospital.

One of the occupants of the car who was at the scene was heard thanking God that he escaped death. He had a minor injury in his mouth.
