Lagos Street Soccer: Organisers Postpone Matches For Eid-el- Fitri

Organisers of the MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship have postponed all third round matches scheduled for thiis weekend  because of the Eid-el-Fitr.

Matches are scheduled to be played at centres across Lagos between tomorrow and Sunday, but these have been rescheduled till next weekend to allow players and officials to mark the end of Ramandan by the Muslims.

However, the chairman of the organising committee of the competition, Tijani Azeez, warned the teams to shun any act capable of bringing the tourney into disrepute in the third round.

He said the organisers have vowed to rid the tournament of irregularities, which almost marred the second round of the championship.

He disclosed some officials who have compromised their positions were sanctioned and banned from further officiating in the competition

Meanwhile, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development, Wahid Oshodi has supported all the decision made by the LOC.
