Gunmen kill 2 guests of PDP boss

Unidentified gunmen have killed two persons in Mubi, Adamawa state. One other person was injured in the attack on Sunday night at Sabo Layi area of the town.

The attack took place in front of the home of Alhaji Sahabo Jauro, the PDP Chairman in Mubi North Local Government Area.

“Most of those affected were visitors to the politician house,” said a witness.

According to the witness, the six gunmen stormed the house at about 8p.m and ordered everyone at sight to lie down.

“They collected money and handsets from the people before shooting sporadically as they retreated, hitting four people in the process,” he said.

Mr Mark Idakwo, the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa, confirmed the incident and urged the public to give any information that could assist the police to track the gunmen.
