Paralympic Tennis: Wheelchair Players Set For Games —Coach

Team Nigeria’s wheelchair tennis Coach, Frank Termena says his players are ready for the Paralympic Games after undergoing series of technical and tactical training sessions.

Frank said that nothing would stop his players from doing well at the Games, judging from the kind of training they went through.

In his words: “We have prepared the boys for the challenges ahead and I believe they would not disappoint in London.”

The coach, however, lamented the absence of modern wheelchair for his players, as he sees this as a major obstacle that can hinder the performance of the team at the Games.

According to him, “The only shortcoming is that we don’t know the wheelchairs that these guys will use. We have written to the appropriate quarters and we’ve been assured that we’ll get them but we’re yet to see the wheelchairs.”

Meanwhile, Alex Adewale and Wasiu Yusuf, said that they are ready for the tournament.

Alex said: “I’ve been working very, all I can say is that I’ll try my best to make the country proud.”

On his own part, Wasiu, who lost in the second round at the Beijing Olympics four years ago, hopes for a better outing in London.
