‘Falconets Won’t Underrate Mexico’

Media Officer of Nigeria’s Falconets, Ejiro Babafemi says the team will not underrate their quarter-final opponents, Mexico when they clash in the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s Cup holding in Japan.

The Falconets were finalists at the last edition in Germany, but will have to see off the Mexicans in Thursday’s quarter final if they must qualify for the semi-final stage of the tourney. And, Babafemi said the players have vowed not to look down on their opponents.

She noted that the technical crew and the players are aware of the task ahead of them, adding that they would prepare hard to ensure they win the match.

“There are no injury worries in camp. The players are psychologically ready and I strongly believe that they won’t underrate the Mexicans on Thursday,” Babafemi said.

Nigeria finished top on  Group B table, where they scaled the hurdles of Korea, Brazil and Italy to set up a quarter final cracker against the Mexicans.
