Nigerians Call For Joint Effort On Nation's Development

Some Nigerians have called for joint efforts between the government and the governed for the goals and expectations of the people to be met.

The Nigerians including veteran journalist, Dare Babarinsa, co-founder of the Eko Hospital, Chief Amaechi Augustine Obiora, immediate past president of the Rotary Club, Ikoyi Metro, Ify Rita Ejezie and several others who spoke at the investiture of Roatarian Emeka Okolonji as president, Gowon Estate, Ipaja, Lagos Rotary Club.

They called on all the stakeholders in the country including civil society groups and non-government organisations to support government’s effort to develop the country.

Speakers at the event berated some politicians who, they claim, seek to plunge the country into problems as result of their corrupt tendencies instead of serving the people as they promised before they were voted for.

They emphasised the need to plough back into the society, stressing the importance of the Rotary Club to the development of the society .

Babarinsa, who was Guest Speaker at the event warned the country’s leaders against the consequence of maladministration, urging them to work with the four-way test of the Rotary Club.

In his speech, Mr. Okolonji promised to do his best to make the club the envy of Nigerians.
