Police Hailed For Security In Lagos

The Baale of Ilasamaja community, Chief Aberejo Fatai, has commended the police in Lagos State for their efforts in combating crime in the state.

He made the commendation after the recent onslaught on armed robbers in his community by the police.

Last Friday morning the police shot dead four armed robbers who were robbing residents in his community.

He commended the prompt response of the police, especially the divisional Police Officer, DPO, who deployed his men in the area and countered the robbers.

He, however observed that the police in the area lack manpower to confront criminals in the area.

“The police in the area are trying, but there is need to increase their manpower, considering the large area in Ilasamaja which they have to cover,” he explained.

Fatai said he has been in cordial relationship with the police and whenever he makes distress calls to them, they always respond promptly. He said he has set up security committees which assist the police to make Ilasamaja crime free.

He promised continuous  cordial working relationship  with the police by giving them information.

Four armed robbers were shot in the night in Ilasamaja where they were robbing residents from house to house.

The residents made a distress call to the DPO who promptly deployed his team.

The police recovered three guns and live ammunition used by the robbers.
