New Wave’s 4th LP Ready

Ten years after the release of an album titled Tungba Classic, New Waves Musical organization led by Tunde Adejuwon is ready to release another album.

The album, according to Adejuwon, is an eight-tracker with tracks such as ‘Baba Ose’, ‘Mele Saijo’, Okun kun Ti Salo’ and ‘Olurun Mi Fohun’.

New Waves Musical Organization, according to the band leader, is a juju highlife band comprising 22 members, including seven directors who are foundation members of the band.

He said the band was founded in 1991 during their school days when seven of them, namely Tunde Adejuwon, Lanre Olurunfemi, Adenigbagbe Henry, Niyi Ikotun, Fashugba Segun, Tunde Fashugba, and Tope Fashugba, came together to form a group due to the passion they have for music. “Since then it has been music all the way,” he said.

The new album, which is currently being promoted by the band, is titled ‘Erin Ti Goke’(maturity).
