Sharapova splits with fiance Vujacic

Russian beauty, Maria Sharapova said on Friday that she has broken up with fiance Sasha Vujacic, the former NBA star who is now playing basketball in Turkey.

They had been set to marry at Istanbul in November, but the 25-year-old Russian said scheduling difficulties kept them apart much of the time.

“It was a really nice period for both of us,” she said. “We have a tremendous amount of respect for each other and I still look upon him as a friend.”
