After Smart Striker of Apapa defeated Coker Football Academy of Iwaya 3-2 in the final of U-12 Muniru Muse Cup, captain of Smart Striker, Kareem Ibrahim spoke about his performance and future plans with Grassroots Soccer Guide.

How would you rate your performance in the final of Muse Cup?

Honestly, my performance was average and I really disappointed my fans who came to watch me in the final of Muse Cup. I am also happy that at the end of the day, we came out victorious.

You actually scored own goal and your fans felt sad about that, how would you react to this?

I am not really happy about that too. I tried to clear the ball away from our goal keeping area, but unfortunately I scored against my team. I want my fans to forgive me for the blunder I committed in the course of the game.

So, tell our readers; when did you join Smart Striker?

I joined the club in year 2009 and I was impressed with the calibre of players in the club. We have a bunch of young players who are committed and ready to give their best for the club.
