The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government primaries scheduled to hold on Saturday across Benue State has been shifted till tomorrow, Sunday.
Dr Emmanuel Agbo, the state Chairman of the party, in Makurdi on Saturday said the postponement was to enable the party tackle logistic issues, capable of preventing the smooth conduct of the polls.
Agbo further assured members of the party that their wishes as would be expressed by their votes would be respected, noting that candidates would not be imposed on them.
He also advised delegates to be law abiding and conduct themselves in accordance with the laid down rules governing the party primaries.
He therefore, enjoined the aspirants to accept the outcome of the primaries in good faith and stressed that the contest which was “just a test of their popularity, should never be viewed as a do or die affair”.
