Lagos Holds Inter-Club Tourney

The first edition of Inter Club Para Table Tennis Tournament, organised by the Lagos State Paralympic  Association, kicks off today and will end on Friday at Somolu Local Government Recreational Centre, Agunbiade  Primary School in Somolu, Lagos.

The event, which will hold between 9am-4pm daily, is sponsored by the Lagos State government through the  Office of Grassroots Sports Development.  Athletes from four clubs are competing in the tourney organised to  showcase ability in disability of the disabled athletes. It is also aimed at taking off the physically  challenged athletes out of the streets begging for alms.

The tournament will assist the Lagos State government to discover  and nurture new talents that could  represent the state at the National Sports Festival and international championships.
