Nations Cup: Chukwu Tips Eagles To Beat Liberia

Former national team coach, Christian Chukwu, has tipped the Nigeria’s Super Eagles to pummel the Lone Stars  of Liberia in the return leg of the final qualifying round of the 2013 African Cup of Nations slated for  October at the U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State.

The Lone Star of Liberia, on 8 September, forced the Eagles to a hard-fought 2–2 draw in the first leg in a  jam-packed Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia.

Speaking early today, the former Eagles skipper said that the return leg will be a different ball game,  adding that Nigeria will beat the Liberians in Calabar.

“There is no cause for alarm because we will surely beat Liberia when they come to Nigeria for the second  leg. All the coach needs to do is to finetune the team before the match and Nigeria will carry the day.

“I don’t think there will be any problem because the Eagles always excell in the matches that they play in  Calabar. This is not going to be different from the earlier games because the Liderians will also fall like  the others,” said Chukwu.
