No Disunity Among ACN Senators -Ashafa

Senator ‘Gbenga B. Ashafa, a lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has debunked reports that there was disunity amongst ACN Senators.

This followed some recent publications stating that certain ACN Senators were alleged to be behind the removal of Senator George Akume as Senate Minority Leader.

Senator Ashafa decried the report, insisting that “we are united”.

He noted that being privileged to be the Secretary of the ACN Senators Caucus Forum, regular meetings were held not only to discuss national issues but also to forster unity among the Senators.

“This is a forum that brings together a group of extremely patriotic individuals that have the unique privilege to be elected by the good people of Nigeria to serve. As we meet regularly, issues affecting the lives of common Nigerians have been our focal point and I can’t recall anytime personal issues became an agenda/item for discussion,” he said.

According to him, “unity is the bed rock that will cause this great party ACN to thrive, win and give the people the desperately needed change. We at the Senate realise the needs of the masses and are doing everything it takes to enforce this in all that we do.”
