A local search engine and business information provider, VConnect Global Service Limited, has trained 500 Small and Medium-scale Enterprises based in Abuja on the nitty-gritty of online marketing.

The Territory Sales Manager, VConnect Nigeria Limited, Mr. Wale Onibudo, said in a statement on Monday that the training forum had a turnout of over 500 business owners who were given a platform to ask questions and make enquiries about online marketing and the services being offered by the company.

Onibudo said the essence of the training was to bridge the existing information gap between business owners and their target markets across the country, adding that the recent expansion of VConnect to Abuja was in line with the company’s mission to give businesses everywhere in the country the opportunity to partake of the numerous benefits associated with getting listed on the website, www.Vconnect.com.

He said: “VConnect is constantly repositioning its marketing strategies and quality of service with a view to giving businesses the opportunity and awareness required to increase their profitability.

The success of a business is tied to the level of awareness created around the business and any business listed on the Vconnect directory will enjoy numerous requests from other parts of the country.

“We want businesses in other parts of the country to have a feel of what our Lagos clientele have been experiencing.’’

He said the VConnect business forum train was expected to stop over in Port Harcourt in October this year, where current and prospective SME business owners would be enlightened on the latest trends in online marketing and how businesses grew through the Internet.
