An Educationist and visitor to Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State, Dr. Ola Adebogun, has described the 100 percent success the institution recorded at the accreditation exercise carried out by the National Universities Commission (NUC) as a confirmation of the university’s commitment to high standards.

Dr. Adebogun, who said this in a statement at Imota early in the week, stressed that the full accreditation given to all the university’s programmes has, no doubt, confirmed the institution’s core objective of producing quality graduates that would contribute positively to national growth.

He said the feat was achieved with the concerted efforts of both the academic and non-academic staff of the university who were involved in the task of students’ educational development and well-being, tailored at the production of required manpower and capacity building for national advancement.

The visitor, who appraised the achievements of the university since its take-off in 2008, said the constant 100 percent success record of the institution was a step in the right direction, considering the quality of staff and infrastructure at its disposal.

He disclosed that Caleb University makes continuous professional development mandatory for the staff to ensure they consistently work hard to remain relevant to the system as well as uphold a culture of encouraging the students to aspire to greater heights and be agents of change in the society.

The educationist explained that the beauty of it all was the fact that since the establishment of the university, all its programmes had continued to enjoy full accreditation.

Adebogun, however, commended the NUC’s insistence  on sanity rather than allow exploitation and decadence to be the order of the day in the university system, thereby preventing the tragedy of churning out sub-standard graduates.
