Debate: Should Nigerian military officers retire at 70?

The Nigerian Army says it has begun the process of reviewing upward to 70 years, the retirement age for its officers.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika made the announcement at the commissioning of the Nigerian Army Transformation and Innovation Centre in Abuja, adding that the review would enable the army save some experience and resources, which are being lost on the basis of regular retirement.

Nigerian academics and judges can now retire at 70 but should the army personnel retire at same age?
