Joy Tambou Celebrates Birthday In Style

Nollywood actress, Joy Tambou, celebrated her birthday in style at Haile Sallessia Hotel and Suites, Surulere, Lagos, recently.

Those in attendance at the birthday bash included the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria Chairman, Lagos State chapter, Emeka Rising-Ibeh and Femi Durojaiye.

In a chat with Nollywood Reel, the Ijaw, Brutu Local Government, Delta State-born actress described Mercy Johnson as her role model.

She lamented that it is very difficult for upcoming actors to get movie roles and this is really affecting the growth of the industry.

Tambou claimed that “some of the upcoming actors are better than their more established counterparts.”

She, however, frowned at the general belief that the upcoming actresses have to sleep with directors or producers to get movie roles.

The actress opined that exchanging sex for movie roles is a matter of choice and it is a practice that also happens in other professions.
