LASG Restates Commitment To Training Financial Managers

Lagos State Government has pledged to uphold effective financial management in the state through continuous training and re-training of accountants in the public service.

The state Accountant-General, Mr. David Sunmoni gave the pledge at a four-day workshop on Specialized Excel Modeling and Analysis Programmes for Financial Managers and Finance Professionals, held in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The workshop was organized with Baileycole Consulting to continuously expose accountants and finance professionals in the state to Excel Module in order to enhance their capacity building of Oracle.

Sunmoni said that at the end of the workshop, officers would be able to key into the ongoing transformation in the state public service on financial management modules, to enhance public financial management in the state.

Mr. Ola Tubi, Managing Partner, Baileycole Consulting noted that the secret for a successful business management lied in the ability to promptly gather, organize and store information for planning purposes.
