Pako Tourney: Ogundimu FC Coach Eye S/Final Ticket

“Having recorded 2-1 with Iloro FC in our opening match, our expectation is to win our second game against Pako All Stars on Sunday and reach the semi final stage,”

These were the words of Ogundimu coach, Saheed Ojikutu after his team defeated Iloro FC in their opening match of the  Pako Football Championship held last week at the Pako Amoo playground, Agege.

Ojikutu warned Pako All Stars to forget the victory when both teams clash on Sunday morning, adding that his players are in high spirits and ready to take their opponents to the cleaners.

“We are coming to Sunday match with high expectations. My players are in good frame of mind and they will approach the game with all seriousness because a victory for us against our opponents will guarantee us a place in the semi final,” he boasted.

In his own comment, Pako All Stars coach; Jide Johnson stated that they cannot afford to lose their second game knowing full well that a defeat to his team will affect their chances to progress to the next stage.

“Our fans are looking forward to our first victory against Ogundimu FC. It is going to be a tough match for both teams and we are ready for them. We played a goalless draw with Erozie FC in our first match and I am optimistic that  we will come out victorious in our second game,” he said.

In the matches played so far, Pako All Stars played 0-0 with Eroze FC; Yidi All Stars beat Man U 2-1; Juventus FC lost 1-2 to Super Stars, while Ogundimu FC humbled Iloro FC 2-1.

Match coordinator, Prince Ayomibamidele Raheem has expressed satisfaction with the organization and officiating of the matches played so far and urged the fans to desist from social vices that can tarnish the image of the competition.
