A member of the House of Representatives for Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 2, Hakeem Abiodun Muniru, has praised the leadership and members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), particularly the Ondo State chapter for their steadfastness and support for the party’s governorship candidate in the 20 October election in the state, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Speaking with journalists in Lagos after attending the redemption rallies for the ACN candidate which took place at Ondo, Ore and Oka Akoko, Muniru stated that he was not only impressed with the turnout of party members and supporters at the rallies but was also impressed with the genuine support on display for Akeredolu. “I was highly impressed with the turnout and honest display of support for our candidate. These are not rented people and with what I saw at the rallies, I fully optimistic that we are winning the Ondo governorship election,” he said.
The lawmaker, however, called on the members not to rest on their oars but to continue to work harder until victory is attained.
“They should continue to persevere, no matter the hardship that may come their way from the opposition, especially from the ruling party. They should continue to work hard and not relent until victory is attained and I know we will emerge victorious by the special grace of God,” Muniru said.
He praised the party leadership especially national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; national chairman, Chief Bisi Akande; former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba and his counterpart in Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo among others for their support for the ACN candidate.
