NSF Invites Players For African Tourney

The Nigeria Scrabble Federation, NSF, has invited 10 male and 2 female players for camping ahead of the forthcoming African Scrabble championship holding next month in Zambia.

In a press release made available to P.M.NEWS at the weekend, the invited players are expected to be in camp from 11-19 November, 2012 for trials and eventual departure to Zambia. The 9-day camping will be in Abuja, Federal Capital Terrotory, FCT.

General Secretary of NSF, James Eakyns, informed that all those invited for the national camp in Abuja were invited  based on their current performance and their position on players’ ratings maintained by the federation, adding that all the players are expected to come to camp along with their international passports and official invitation letters.

All the invited players and their accumulated points are, Ogbaka Rex-1771, Nsikan Etim -1763, Olaiya Kabir-1753, Eta Karo -1722, Paul Sodge -1699, Tayo Saheed -1684, Edewor Bobor -1683, Oshevire Avwenagha -1672, Wale Ilori -1671 and Prince Omosefe -1670 points. The two invited female players are Tuoyo Wawe of Delta State and Afolayan Bukunmi from Ogun State.

Meanwhile, an inter club scrabble champiobship will hold also from 15 -18 November in Abuja.
