“There is need to change our attitude and orientation from what it is now to what it ought to be; that is, ensuring that our customers go away satisfied.
“The way members of the agency are perceived by the public leaves much to be desired and that is why Governor Babatunde Fashola approved this training,” he said.
According to Opeifa, the governor had said the training programme should be on continuous basis.
“It is expected that at the end of the training, your knowledge and understanding of what is expected of you would prepare you all for better service delivery,” he added.
Topics discussed at the training are “Management of our corporate image for effective service delivery”; “Time and self management”; “Communication/customer care service for better result” and “Proper record keeping/documentation for effective service delivery”.
Chief Executive Officer, Cantilever Consult, Folashade Laleye, who trained the staff on “Time and self management,” urged the staff to adopt measures to analyse the current use of their time; recognise and manage their time stealers and low value adding tasks and activities; schedule and plan time regularly to retain flexibility and develop an effective system to help them manage their time.
