Falode Tasks Falcons
The General Co-ordinator of Nigeria’s women national teams, Aisha Falode has charged handlers of the Super Falcons to ensure that they present a formidable defence before the 2012 African Women Championship, AWC, kick off on Saturday in Equatorial Guinea.
Falode, who was a former goal keeper of the senior national team, opined that more work needs to be done on the Falcons’defence due to the series of blunders they committed in their last quailifier against Zimbabwe.
“I will want coach Kadiri Ikhana to make sure our defenders are drilled very well for them to be water tight when the championship begins soon,” she said.
She, however, added that she is confident of the team’s ability to score goals, saying that team captained by Precious Dede are blessed with good attackers who could wreck any defence line on their good day.
