Nigerian Governor feared dead in plane crash

The Governor of Nigeria’s north eastern Taraba State, Dambaba Suntai was feared to have died after he crashed his private jet into a bush.

He was said to be flying the jet himself when the accident happened Thursday. There are conflicting reports on whether he survived the crash

The crash happened at about 7.30pm between the NNPC depot and Yola town.

It was not certain what caused the crash which involved two of his aides.

Officials of the Federal  Airports Authority of Nigeria were reportedly heading for the crash site at the time of filing this report.

When one of the governor’s closest friends, Alhaji Aliu Umar was contacted, he told PMNews that he called two of the governor’s lines but they were all switched off.
