Boxing Hall Of Fame Bouts Hold Amid Fanfare

The 35th Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame Show was held amid pomp and ceremony as 18 amateur boxers traded punches on Saturday at the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Lagos Sports Centre, Akoka, Yaba.

In the first bout of the event, Dauda Azeez of D & D Boxing Club pummelled Muda Owolabi of Alausa Boxing Club in the 49kg category, while Taiwo Abiodun of No Shaking Boxing Club defeated Salau Nuru of Lagelu Boxing Club in the 49kg category.

Hakeem Akinade of Ola Akins Boxing Club battered Isaac Oloyade of Badagry Pioneer Boxing Club in the 52kg category, while Kudus Adeleke of Adeleke Boxing Club was subdued by Abdullahi Balogun of Brightest Boxing Club in the 56kg category.

Otto Joseph of Paramount Boxing Club defeated Rasheed Aremu of Ajetunmobi Boxing Club in the 60kg category, while Hammed Rufai of No Shaking Boxing Club was beaten to submission by Adedeji Adekunle of Diamond Boxing Club in the 64kg category.

Abua Christian of Paramount Boxing Club overpowered Saheed Lawal of WTT Boxing Club in the 69kg category, while Shina John of Champion Boxing Club was well beaten by Michael Oriyomi of Blessed Boxing Club in the 75kg category.

Mutiat Adebayo of Champion Boxing Club defeated Adekunle Funmilayo of Golden Weapon Boxing Club in the 49kg category in the only female bout of the event.
