In a bid to ensure effective service delivery of its brands, Weststar Associates Limited, authorised distributor of Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge has invested N4.2 billion in workshop facilities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
Fielding questions from journalists during a tour of the facility recently, the General Manager Weststar in Abuja, Mr. Armin Schmand said the facility was opened for business about six months ago, stressing that it has the capacity to provide after-sales services for users of Mercedes-Benz in Abuja and other states around the FCT.
Schmand said about .3 million Euros was expended for converting the building to an ultra-modern workshop facility, while 2.5 million Euros was used to stock the place with genuine spare parts as backup for repairs. When converted it appeared Weststar has spent over N4billion on the facilities and Schamand said spare parts are ordered on a monthly basis to ensure adequate after sales backup. The workshop has four repair bays and an ultra-modern diagnostic machine.
