Court Strikes Out Case Against ‘My Pikin’ Producer

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, southwest Nigeria this morning struck out the name of ‘My Pikin’ teething mixture producer, Kola Gbadegbesin Okunlola from the criminal charge filed before it.

Justice Okechukwu Okeke approved an application brought by the prosecutor, A. K. Ali who presented the death certificate of the deceased to the court.

There was no objection from the defendants’ counsel. His name was consequently struck out.

Thereafter, there was a controversy as to who will now represent Okunlola’s company, Barewa Pharmaceuticals Limited in the criminal charge.

The prosecutor told the court he now intended to file an amended charge. The defendants were represented in court today by Fola Kuti and Tunji Ebeadumah. Consequently, the court adjourned the matter till 3 December, 2012 when the prosecutor will regularise his position by filing an amended charge.
