Ije Goes On DVD

After a successful run at the cinemas in Nigeria and abroad, the hit movie, Ije: The Journey, will be released on DVD on 3 December.

Chineze Anyaene, CEO, Xandria Productions and Director/Producer of the movie, told Entertainment Café that she decided to release the movie on DVD after demands from fans, who want the flick for keeps. She explained that arrangements have been made to distribute the DVD through over 6000 retail outlets spread across the country.

The film, which featured two of Nollywood top actresses, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, was adjudged by the Nigerian Film Corporation as the highest selling Nigerian movie at the Nigerian cinemas so far, grossing over N60million. It has also fetched Anyaene, a first-time feature film director, many local and international awards.
