A chieftain of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Barrister Owolabi Salis has said that it was possible to dislodge the ruling ACN in the state in 2015.

He said, however, that the party would require to be focused and united to achieve the task.

Addressing party members  on why he donated 30 cows to the Lagos PDP during the recent Sallah celebration, Salis said it was what the party needed to realise its dream of building a greater Lagos from 2015.

He, therefore, charged members of the party, especially its leaders to forget factional leanings and work for one indivisible PDP.

Salis said the recent Ondo State governorship election has shown that given a solid Lagos PDP, success was possible in the state.

The Lagos PDP chieftain stressed that the lesson from that election was that any focused party was capable of winning political power.

According to Salis, based on the history of elections in the state, the Lagos State PDP has the greatest opportunity to upstage the ACN in 2015.

The chances, he said, have even become brighter because of the lack of performance of the Fashola administration, despite the billions of naira available to his government.

Salis said Lagosians were, therefore, waiting for the PDP to put its house in order to give the party massive votes.

This Salis stressed, was one of the reasons he donated 30 cows to the Lagos PDP during the Sallah celebrations as part of his contributions to party building.

According to the former governorship aspirant, he did it to motivate members to boost their morale, having been in opposition for over 10 years.

He reasoned that such gesture had the potential of uniting different factions as nobody was exempted from the largesse.
