Super Eagles Won’t Disappoint Nigeria —Oboabona

Captain of Sunshine Stars club of Akure, Godfrey Oboabona has assured Nigerians that the Super Eagles will do the country proud in their match against Venezuela in Miami, USA, on Wednesday.

Oboabona, who is one of the 15 home-based players invited by coach Stephen Keshi for the friendly match against the Vinotinto of Venezuela, said with the crop of players invited for the match he is confident the Eagles would not disappoint Nigerians.

“What I can assure you is that we would not disappoint Nigerians come Wednesday against Venezuela,” Oboabona said early today on BrilaFM when speaking on the chances of Nigeria winning the match.

Meanwhile, coach Stephen Keshi has added uncapped striker Bright Dike to the squad ahead of Wednesday’s friendly international against Venezuela in Miami.

Dike has been drafted in, along with Sharks FC’s Gomo Onduku, after John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Onyekachi Apam were all excused from the squad.
