Man Held For Visiting Wife In Lover’s House

A middle-aged man, Mr. Kazeem Tijani has been arrested for alleged indecent act after he visited his wife in her lovers house at Agege, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS on his ordeal at Area ‘G’ Police Command,  Kazeem narrated how his wife with whom he has three children packed out of his house in December, 2011 after one Sherif Awodele allegedly rented a room for her even though they have not been separated legally.

He further stated that due to pressure from his mother and friends to allowed his children celebrate the Sallah with their mother, he went to his wife’s new abode in company of   his friend to tell her to come and pick the children the following morning.

According to Kazeem as he knocked on the gate, his wife came out to open it and as he was about to tell his wife his mission, Awodele raised an alarm, calling: ‘Thief, thief’ which attracted other tenants in the house but his wife told them that he was the father of her three children and not a thief. He said he was then  advised to leave the area.

The following morning, P.M.NEWS learnt that Awodele went to Elere Police Station to report that Kazeem came with some thugs to burgle his house. Kazeem was then arrested and detained on Friday and was released on bail on Saturday.

Kazeem, P.M.NEWS gathered later reported the matter to Committee for the Defence of Peoples Rights who wrote a request of case transfer to Area ‘G’ Police command, Ogba. Both parties have been advised to go and settle amicably.
