Team Manager of Divine Royals Football Club, Emmanuel Oscar has disclosed that his two goalkeepers will face sanctions for their absence in the opening match of Pauline & Wilson Foundation Football Competition, tagged PWF Cup.

Divine Royals lost 3-2 and played 1-1 against Balina Globals Football Club in the two legged games played   at the mainbowl of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

With these defeats, Divine Royals have crashed out in the first round of the competition.

Oscar explained that his two goalkeepers failed to turn up in their first game, which cost the team’s exit from the tourney.

“Our two goalkeepers, Nasiru Salawu and Raphael Ossiah could not explain why they were absent in our opening match, so the management will punish them for their nonchalant attitude to serve as deterrent to other players,” he said.

Oscar said his team would have qualified for the next round of the competition if both keepers were around in the first game, but the club used another player to man the goal post.

“Salawu featured in the second match but our opponents had  qualified ahead of us. Our players need to be disciplined  and committed if they want to succeed in their careers,” Oscar concluded.
