Reactions Greet Saraki’s Death
Prominent Nigerians have been reacting to the death of the former Senate Leader, describing it as sad.
In his own reaction, constitutional lawyer, Prof. Itse Sagay said Saraki’s demise was a sad development, lamenting that the nation had lost several important personalities this year alone.
“He was a man, whatever you have against him, a colossus. He was a supreme godfather and he was a figure in Kwara State. It is a sad development,” he said.
Spokesman, Save Nigeria Group, Yinka Odumakin said the death of Saraki represented the end of an era.
“He was the strongman of Kwara politics and he has gone to meet his maker. It tells us that death is inevitable for human being and we have to be careful how we treat others.
“May his soul rest in peace. Let all in Saraki’s shoes know that death is the end,” he stated.
Comrade Debo Adeniran, human rights activist said, “Saraki was a politician of perfect organisation.
“He was generous and a father of the poor masses in Kwara State. He was a man of the people till he died. The people of Kwara State will surely miss him,” he said.
Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, National President, Campaign for Democracy said, “our heart goes to the family of Saraki. The lesson for us is that whatever we do, we should ensure we impact positively on people. May his soul rest in peace.”
