The ongoing Bariga Super Cup has entered the Round of 16 stage.
In a fixture made available by the Secretary General of Bariga Youth Football Association, Taofeek Adebisi, Allen FC will battle All Stars FC, Bariga United face Stanley FC, Setubal FC tackle Baby FC, while Akoka United lock horns with Roundabout All Stars in Friday’s matches.
Taofeek said draws for the quarter final matches will be held on Monday, while the final of the tournament, facilitated by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, will hold on 23 November.
The scribe commended Governor Fashola for his youths empowerment programme through sports, adding that the competition was put together to discover young talents in Bariga and its environs.
“We have talented footballers in Bariga and a competition like this will help these players showcase their talent,” he said.
The winners will take home the sum of N100,000, while the second, third and fourth positions will pocket the sum of N70,000, N40,000 and N30,000 respectively.
