‘Union Bank Ready For Any Opposition’

Chief Coach of Union Bank Table Tennis Club, Samson Ajayi has expressed confidence that his players are fully ready to face their opponents in the 44th Aso-Oju Oba Table Tennis Championship, which strokes  off on Monday at the Molade Thomas Okoya Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Ajayi told P.M.News that his players have been in camp for over a month, adding that they are battle ready to take their opponents to the cleaners at the Aso-Oju Oba championship.

“We have been winners in the Aso-oju Oba Tourney every year and this year won’t be an exception because our target is to retain the trophies my players won last year,” he said.

Ajayi said he is satisfied with the level of preparedness of the players in camp, and it will be hard for any individual or teams to beat his team in the championship.

Ajayi said the Union Bank management is motivating his players to give their best during the competition.

Among the Union Bank players registered for the tourney are: Kehinde Awobajo, Azeez Ogunlade, Asheku Bolaji and Seun Atiba in the men’s singles, while Fatimah Bello, Udoh Ayo, Aregbesola Nimota and Adedeji Halimat will play in the women singles of the tournament.
