Lagos Beat Kaduna 6-0 In Football

Lagos State female football team Monday evening pummelled their Kaduna State counterparts 6-0 in their opening group match  decided at the Agege Stadium.

Opeyemi Adesina put the Ann Chijiene-tutored side ahead by scoring the first goal in the 26th minute, while Blessing Okpe increased the tally by scoring the second goal in the 29th minute.

Patience Dike scored the third in the 32nd minute while Omolara Sulaimon scored the fourth goal in the 42nd minute.

The host began the second half of the game as Dike scored her second goal of the match in the 53rd minute while Bella Obiora sealed up the victory by scoring the last goal of the match in the 66th minute.

Head Coach of the Lagos State team, Ann Chijiene said that the players are ready to give their best in the competition in order to win at the gold medal in the event.

“We will leave no stone unturned in order to win the gold medal in this event. I know that the football loving fans in Lagos State have seen what the girls are capable of doing,” said the former Super Falcons goalkeeper.

However, the Head Coach of the Kaduna State team, Saleh Hamza said that his side lost the match due to the mistake that the players made.

“Our team did not lose this match because they did not play very well. They lost the match because of the mistake that they made in the course of the game,” said Hamza.
