The death has been announced in Kaduna Nigeria of Hajia Zulaihatu

, the first daughter of former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Zulai, 40 years old, died on Thursday at Nasarawa Hospital, a private clinic in Marafa, Kaduna, during child birth. Some sources said Zulai died from complications of being a sickle cell anaemia victim.

Alhaji Bashir Saidu, the Deputy State Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), said in Kaduna, that the deceased was married to Captain Mahmud Junaid, a retired Army officer.

She will be buried on Friday
