Ayuba, Akindele For Podium Awards

All is now set for this year’s edition of Podium Recognition Awards holding on Sunday.

The award ceremony scheduled to hold at Etal Hotels, Oregun, Lagos, is the third in the series and has been designed as a night of networking opportunities, entertainment and fun all the way.

Titi Aboyade Cole, CEO, Podium International, said the awards was put in place to honour genuine Nigerians who are excelling in their various fields as well as making the country proud.

“We have chosen to make this different from the rest as we are recognising all the people who are making us proud. All our nominees are winners, as we don’t have a loser or winner. The fact that there is only one slot for one person this year does not mean that the person we did not recognise is a loser in that field for that year,” Aboyade Cole told Entertainment Café.

Awards will be given in 15 competitive categories, while some Nigerians will have Special Recognition awards bestowed on them. Among those on the honours list are Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, Governor of  Ondo State; Pastor Tunde Bakare; Prof. Pat Utomi; Seye Kehinde, publisher, City People; Kunle Bakare, publisher, Encomium; Mayor Akinpelu, publisher, Global Excellence, actress Funke Akindele, OAP Yaw and Doyin Ashiru.

The awards ceremony will be anchored by popular On-Air-Personality Lolo of Wazobia FM, while Fuji music star, Adewale Ayuba will lead other top stars who will perform at the event.
