Royal Father Solicits Cooperation For LG Boss
The baale of Aboru in Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, Chief Salawu Bamgbopa, has advised politicians, traditional rulers and residents of the council area to cooperate with the LCDA boss to move the council forward.
The baale who said this during an interview with P.M.NEWS, commended the council boss, Dr. Augustine Arogundade for putting in place projects that will alleviate the suffering of the people.
He said no council boss since the creation of the LCDA has touched the lives of the citizens the way the incumbent chairman has done.
“Since the creation of this local government, none of the chairmen that we had in the past has ever deemed it fit to construct a motorable road in Aboru. I considered this as a commendable gesture,” he said.
Baale Bamgbopa denied the rumour making the round that he endorsed the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the last local government election in place of the candidate of ACN, adding that he had never at any accasion granted an interview where he cast aspersion on the incumbent chairman, Dr. Arogundade.
In a separate interview, an ex-chairman of the LCDA, Engr. Jimoh Olawale Cole and party chieftains in the area, Chief Kola Ogunjale and Engr. Segun Sodiya also commended the council boss for executing projects designed to make life more meaningful to the residents of the LCDA.
